    A well desrved victory, Spain had the players and the opportunity but didn't press their advantage.

    I could see France win it.

              6 of the 8 now are past winners. Uruguay is the only past winner that is not in the running (and its been over 50 years since they did).

              Line up the usual suspects, this tournament seems to be able to go to any one of the old skool.

                  You know, for the whole match I really didn't know who to cheer for. The French team that humiliated us in the WC 1998/Euro 2000 or the Spanish team, pumped to the ridiculous by the home media?

                    Well, I saw them against Tunisia, and they were definitely not ridiculous. They have great abilities. Too bad for them they didn't manage to play as serenely as they needed (that was the same problem against Tunisia, until they scored the equalizer)

                            Thats why , in defiance of all logic and reason, I am picking Portugal as this years winner

                            Logic says a depleted Portugal is quite likely to lose to England but I won't let that get in the way of a good underdog pick
