      Part of a problem of a city being originally built on marshland. Skyscrapers are coming, but restrictive planning regulations have stopped them until recently. Docklands is the area which has the big buildings (at the moment), although once London Bridge Tower is built, that will be the biggest (just over 400m IIRC).

Maybe it doesn't have a lot of really tall buildings, but it evens out by having proportionally less low-rise. Consider Atlanta, a city about half the size of London, which is listed as having 6 times as few highrise buildings.

          There are some biggies on the way. And I do apologise, London Bridge Tower is due to be just over 300m, not 400m...was getting a bit carried away then

                              One of the largest mosques beyond the Ural (at least it was the largest in 1998. The mosque can seat four thousand people).
