Ah-- canada will partially solve this for you as we will require more and more workers to service the growing oilsands industry.

As it stands i beleive we are already legally importing dozens of Mexicans to work in Alberta. (and they get paid the "going rate"). When that number moves into the hundreds and then thousands ( as it inevitably will given the demographic and economic realities), SOME of the pressure on this issue will be alleviated, at least with respect to your new immigrants.

As for the stance of the parties, isn't it as simple as the Democrats adopt any issue that gets them votes from brown people while the Republicans do exactly the same on issues that get them votes from white people??

Pro-labor pro-regulation Democrats should be opposing illegal immigration. Illegals are bought in by corporate employers the circumvent minumum wages set out in statutes and in union contracts. The result is the dreaded "race to the bottom." Union jobs are lost to competitors using illegals and the standard of living for union workers is dragged downwards.

Regardless of the rights and wrongs of illegal immigration, why is each side seeming to work against its own self interest??
both parties are split, and each side is acting to its own interests. The democrat elites see voters, the republican elites see workers.
