I'm interested to hear from anyone, but fellow republicans particularly.

I'm really losing faith in the party.
I was a register Demo until 98. I'm now a Register Rep. I really do not like either. I vote for the person or the item on the ballot and don't care what party he/she is from as long as they talk about issues that I care about.

Once they get there they are essentially slaves. Any woman who become pregnant there are forced to have abortions.

The Republicans have, on every single occasion, killed a bill in comitee which would extend workers protection rights to the Marianas. They killed the bill in comitte every time for the last 6 years.

The corporations which own most of the factories on the Marianas give enormous amounts of money every year to Republicans in the senate for their campaign funds.

Republicans are not anti abortion, they are pro-getting-the-votes-of-people-who-hate-abortion-so-they-can-get-re-elected.

      I hate abortion too.

      I am not a Republican.

I think small goverment is fantastic.
I am again (massive) deficit spending, and boy is it massive.
      I am against goverment waste.
      I am against corporate corruption.
I think the purpose of goverment is to PROTECT MY RIGHTS.
I am a huge supporter of the second amendment and I know it is my constitutional right to own any gun I want.

If the Republicans actually champtioned these, I would vote Republican, they don't.

The Republican party does not DO any of the things it promises, why support them?

      This is disgusting.
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

So American 'politics' is about the official stand on abortion?

Listen Lancer, how much do you use your power in Republican party? Or are you just registered? If you're like most, why join the party, or stay in it anyway?

I do not belong to any party nor am I looking to join any. What' sthe point? I'm not going to be very active in it. And they have their own collective ideas, ideologies, and they take stand on issues I don't care or disagree with. So why do I join? I don't know?! To force one issue, to support one issue I think they got that everyone else has otherwise, major parties I mean? Wohhaaah... that's like ramming a banana in your butt (has to be frozen or you're in for a real battle).

Be your own man Lancer, be your own man. So what do you think about x? Fascinating. What about y? Great. Ohh you're also a member of a party, who gives a crap.

What's important is what YOU think, what not some other people think when it comes to mostly subjective issues or even issues of no real importance, like values. Who cares what values people have, as long as they are not limiting each others rights or hurting anyone? It's like, who do people think they are, muscling their thoughts on everyone else you know, give me room, I have as much right to be here as you do, so we have to live together, cool, I respect you, please respect me, to a point where we don't talk to each other if we don't want to.

Yes. I want you to be your own man Lancer. You're already having doubts, so that means you have problems with the party. Why stay? What does it benefit you? So you can say you belong there and people give you respect? Nah. Get out of it. REAL people respect you more for it, people who think, live, analyze, change and realize.

Don't be a whore, plus you know what? Nazis had a party too .

No, this is not anti-republican speech. This is anti-party speech. We don't need them. Only weak people need a party. I don't need one. I'm a one man party. I wreck, smash and maim plus I have more power over myself than any party, so how strong can they really be? They can't control me. Only my party controls me so it's a lot stronger.

Screw political parties, screw politicians. They all contribute to bureocracy, and use it to justify their jobs as nothing doing ****ers who get paid too much for faxing copies of their sweaty fat cracks to the room next to them.

Interestingly, the Republicans began using the term GOP almost immediately after they were founded in 1856, though they were neither at the time. The Democrats go back to 1790s, when they were the Democratic Republicans.

Oerdin, the horrors in those islands is the last nail in the republican coffin for me. I'm now independant.

Pekka, good post. I can't stand it when people defend every aspect of the party line on any side. They're like parrots who will believe any bit of BS as long as their politician says it.

yeah plus people who can't respect you for making these kind of changes, well, you shouldn't take pressure from them.

And if it REALLY bothers you late on, you can always join back..
