So far as we can tell the expansion will not only continue; it will accelerate. We crossed the turnover point some time ago.

Evolution is a simple concept. You don't need a PHD to have a simple understanding of it.
And, as with most other things for which PHDs are available, a simple understanding of it is almost useless.

Watching vesayen and lancer argue about science is ****ing painful.

The thing is, I know I don't know jack about it and that gives me a certain advantage over vesayen who thinks he knows everything.

The Universe will eventually collapse back into itself. Then another Big Bang will occur and events will transpire exactly as they had before.

Why? What do you think that the dark energy equation of state looks like?

But really I have no scientific basis for that.

Anyway, about dark energy and dark matter. Has anyone ever figured out what that stuff is?

Another physics question, when you get down to it, isn't everything basically just some form of energy?

Actually there are some physicists that believe this (except for the events transpiring as they did before). I think it's a cool theory myself.

all matter is merely energy condemned to a slow vibration

Great ... not only am i going to make mistakes in my lifetime, im going to make them for all **ckin eternity !

unless i can somehow get the molecules to remember events and which decision to take hmm but then again, maybe its a false memory of events which will cause me to make the same mistake, argh i hate considering the future.

Extend your awareness outward, beyond the self of body, to embrace the self of group and the self of humanity. The goals of the group and the greater race are transcendant, and to embrace them is to acheive enlightenment.
