Really? Is that why evolutionary biologists dedicate their entire lives to figuring it out? Because people only marginally more educated than the functionally retarded should know how it works?

I remember reading some article in which they discuss how the large (tall) dinasaurs could have got blood flow to their brains. They just didn't think the heart was big and strong enough to pump blood up that high. I don't think they ever figured that mystery out.

As things are now however, it does not seem likley.

Evolution is not all that complicated, evolutionary biologists focus on specific parts of it, understanding the basis is not all that complex, a 12 year old should have little trouble understanding it the first time it is explained to them.0

What if a black hole or a chunk of dark matter is at the center of the earth that wasn't there 65 million years ago? Could that explain how dinosaurs could function back then? How can we be sure what the strength of gravity was back then? Might it have been a chunk of dark matter hitting the Earth that killed the dinosaurs and increased gravity?

So you don't know, either? Yeah, that's what I thought.

The idea of a black hole at the center of the earth, is insane and impossible. Black holes do not dissapear except under very special circumstances.... and we've never seen it happen in the short time we've scanned the stars.

Further, a black hole would not decrease gravity, but increase gravity on earth....

A black hole in the center of the earth, would of eaten the earth.

Your questions suck. Go sit in a science class.

If conditions came up where it is advantagous to a species to grow gradually larger, to the point where it reached the size of the dinosaurs, if it made individuals with this trate more likley to mate, or their offsprings more likley to live, then yes.

                      Otherwise, no.

My point exactly. Also, the black hole might not have eaten the Earth because it's being held by the reverse magnetic field.

...and I notice you ignored the dark matter speculation.

Vesayen, life is good, try not to be so bitter.

The sentence you just made about a magnetic field somehow protecting the earth from a black hole, makes about as much sense as saying "I'll put petroleum jelly in my auto mobiles engine!"

The dark matter speculation is ridiculous.

Further..... INCREASED gravity would not result in massive creatures, decreased gravity may.

Life evolved on the earth for billions of years. Assume that since the dinosaurs died, this source of extra gravity(which would of not made larger creatures) dissapeared. If the gravity on earth significantly changed rapidly, the mass extinction been worse then the one caused by the dinosaurs, likley a complete, global extinction.

There is absolutley no evidence that gravity was higher 65 million years ago.

                            I'm off to work.

Which is why it took until the mid twentieth century for it to really be accepted by the common populace. And which is why scientists today are still discovering new things that change the way they think about the foundations of evolution. And which is why there are competing theories as to how evolution really actually works.

                                I'm off to work.

Evolution is a simple concept. You don't need a PHD to have a simple understanding of it.
