Dogs can tollerate more than most humans.

true, although it would be unwise to assume that the reverse is never true. There are a few foods people tolerate and even enjoy no problem that can make your dog quite sick.

You guys are a bunch of wimps.

1 and a half weeks INSIDE A FRIDGE is not going to do anything to you. If you cook it well, there should be no issues. Heck, I have left chicken that long in my fridge (not freezer), and cooked i and it tasted fine.

Jesus, you;d think our ancestors should all have died from food poisoning or something, given all the weak sotmachs we have here.

This is why Europeans and American go to the third world and end up on the toilet half the time. The human body can fight off plenty of things. Chicken kept for a week in a cool refrigerator is not going to be bad all of a sudden, specially if it comes from having been frozen. I mean, were the hell would the bactertia be coming from?? One assumes freezing killed any that were in the chicken before, and it is sealed pretty well, so were are these pathogens coming from? I mean, is the chicken creating life from nothing?

Eh. Chicken is cheap. If it was an expensive cut of beef I would say to risk it...

freezing (well the total freeze thaw cycle really) only kills something like 90% of the total organism load found on most foods including meats. Once the surviving organisms starts dividing and growing again that loss is rapidly recovered. Even worse, many of the worst bugs with respect to toxins produced are among the most resistant to being killed by the freeze thaw cycle.

You'd assume, huh? I wouldn't. You present this as a theoretical schoolwork assigment where X and Y "can be assumed", while Oerdin presented a practical situation. Too much room for human error.

Conclusion: I'm sorry that I don't get a hard-on for thinking that what I'm currently doing could be very dangerous for my health. Not all of us like extreme sports

Uh, lots of our ancestors probably did die from food poisoning. Why do you think the life expectancy was so low?
