I guess I could submit my list.
Vocals- Bruce Dickenson (from Maiden if you don't know who he is)
Lead Guitar- Dave Mustaine (since it's hypothetical, we'll pretend he isn't on drugs and isn't on an ego trip)
Rythym guitar- does it matter? It's only rythym guitar.
. I'll go with James Hetfield
Bass guitar: Steve Harris
Drums: I really can't think of many drummers that stand out. John Bonham of course. But his style doesn't fit in with the rest of the band. I'll go with Lars Ulrich.
hmm, basically my band is a cross between Iron Maiden and Metallica.

other lead guitar guys I'd like to mention (but they just wouldn't gel with the rest of the band). Joe Satrioni, Steve Vai, Rhandy Rhoades, Eddie Van Halen.
other bass players: Les Claypool, the bassist for Rush (can't think of his name right now), Lemmy (can't not mention him), Cliff Burton.
other possible vocalists: Freddie Mercury (just had to do it to piss people off), Klaus Meine, Michael KiskeComment

I guess that guy from Jethro Tull. Like I know his names.
And I didn't nominate any keyboard players. They are all no names anyways.
I'd like to have a cello player or violin player in my band as well, if there were room. I love those instruments (why I listen to classical). Not sure if they fit in a metal band though.
