I don't really know what "indie" means, but all the bands being mentioned in this thread frankly suck.
When i think of "indie" I think of bands like Neutral Milk Hotel, Silver Mt. Zion, God Speed You Black Emperor, and DeerhoofRethink Refuse Reduce Reuse
