The number of goals surprises me this tournament, seems everybody is now shooting from outside the penalty area with this new ball.

Predicting results for only 90 minutes for play-off games is ridicilous. It's the same as predicting the first 45 minutes of regular games. There's no silly golden goal rule even anymore, so let us make full predictions!

Bullsh*t. Football matches last 90 minutes, no longer. Any extra time is only added if otherwise it can't be decided who goes through, but the match ended in a draw then.

And there's a practicality issue: what if a match comes down to penalties? You expect us to predict how many each team kicks in? If we think a game ends in penalties we should say it ends in 5-4 or 9-10? This game is supposed to be about prediction skills, which involves some luck but also some skill. If you have to predict the outcome of penalty series it becomes an open lottery; you might as well draw lots now and save everyone a whole lot of time...

Finally it reallly kills your options and the skill required to do well. Anyone can predict Brazil will beat Japan, but predicting which games end in a draw is much harder.

I've never seen anyone do that. I have seen, though, predictions such as "2-2 and team A win on penaltes". But okay, draws be it.

But OK, I see that the official regulations do not define extra time as an extension of normal playtime, so I'll agree here.

Whenever you want to make them, and as before, anytime up to 5 minutes before kick-off.
