I disagree. I've had some surprisingly good pseudo-meat.

Italian sausage, sausage patties, hot dogs and chicken wings.
Sausage links are a bit week.
This weekend, I'm going to be experimenting with chili with pseudo-beef.

I admit I haven't yet tried pseudo-hamburger. But I'd be willing to try it in taco if only I could figure out the taco-shell-part. Normally, their shape comes from being deep fried in fat which really puts a ding into my low-fat, low-calorie-style of cooking.
