You can't blame lack of imagination entirely - every time an idea's thought up that's one less that can be, so eventually there must be a certain point where originality is impossible. We've apparently reached it, so I say we all just get Netflix and turn movie theaters into brothels.
    Unbelievable!

How much longer until they remake one of the airport movies, or the towering inferno?

Though I kind of liked the airport movies. If you watch them today, they are funny in a cheesy 70's way. They can be so sexist.

I also loved poseidon adventure as a kid. I thought it was the coolest movie. I think that's what got me to join the navy. .

9/11 pretty much guarantees we won't be turning burning skyscrapers or hikjacked planes into mindless entertainment anytime soon.

And thank God, for that -- The Concorde: Airport '79 is a transcendently bad movie, a classic on par with Showgirls, The Blue Lagoon, and the Bo Derek version of Tarzan. No remake could do it justice.

I wouldnt dream of taking small kids to see Poseidon, but then I saw the original POS and once is enough.
