  • Has the current presidential administration doomed our future?

    ....in one aspect.

    I've been giving this thought.

Has any major politician in American history in a position of power managed to mess up enormously, and continue to act without caring about the response of anyone, by essentially ignoring all criticism, or flat our lying in response?

    Has ANYONE tried this before?

Why the hell won't our future presidents try it? It worked.

I'd say its successful not because he doesn't care about the response, but because there really hasn't been any significant response.

If it had not been proven impossible I would argue right now that Iraq has WMDs somewhere. Perhaps they are actually in Iran. I mean, he used them before. Aside from WMD, it's hard to think of anything you could be talking about. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out!

Wouldn't that mean that Iraq had them.

Presidents usually don't have much impact on the ordinary man on the street. His tax cuts have definitely helped but the effects of some of his policies on gas prices have hurt.

After so many years of telling people why they are wrong, I am just loosing patience. Its like spitting in the wind. I am now almost tempted to call them stupid and not explain why.

Small FEDERAL tax cut for you + cuts on federal grants to the states = higher state taxes and less programs. Net loss.

Small FEDERAL tax cut for you + massive war profiteering = massive debt for you and your children. Net loss.

Small FEDERAL tax cut for you + economy gone to hell + 6 years of the republicans doing everything they can to speed up outsourcing of good jobs over seas = less job security for you and none for your children. Net loss.

Small FEDERAL tax cut + Bush managing to make a world which was pretty pissed off with us anyway, combined with the complete and possible permanent loss of diplomatic presitge ever = Net loss.

Small FEDERAL tax cut + a willingness to let the chinese slowly bend us over a table and insert themselves into us rectally = your children and grand children will be living in a third world country. Net loss.

You didn't get a tax cut.....

              ..... stupid. *backhands you*

Nonsense. The US are the goo guys, and the USSR were the bad guys. They couldn't possibly be friends.

OTOH, Iraq and Iran are both bad guys. Obviously they are in bed with each other.

It may be because they feel the same way. Your points above are subjective and based on conjecture. For example:

MY state taxes have not gone up and no programs I'm familiar with are affected. I'm sorry if YOUR state decided to screw you.

It would be too soon to say if any of our children will ever live in a third world country (doubtful since so few can even find one on a map) but I assure you I have had no Chinese rectal insertions and none are planned.

If it will make you feel better just keep assuming everyone else is stupid and bask in the glow of your own superiority.

That could actually be seen as a good indication that they WILL be living in a third world country soon enough.
