as for hard liquors. I just can't get into them very much. They are okay in mixed drinks and such. Such as vodka in screwdrivers. And I've drank southern comfort in Dr. Pepper. I've also drank it straight. I've drank straight whiskey and all that. but it's so strong, you really can't drink it fast. Or maybe it's just me. I'm a pansy. But at least I'm not an alcoholic.
And then you have the tequilas like Patron and Cuervo. People swear by Patron. But I really can't notice much difference in taste between the varieties of Patron. When something is that strong, you can't even taste it. At least beer you can taste. And in the case of Newcastle Brown Ale and Samual Adams, they taste good.Comment

Cheap vodka and orange juice is about as cheap, less nasty, and higher-proof.
EDIT: as compared to junk beer, I mean. I don't really do vodka, I prefer gin and tonic or Glenfiddich. Or mead.Comment

Though I did have some Molson's beer from Canada that was supposedly super strong. You couldn't buy it in the U.S. My friend smuggled it accross the border. It was too much like that malt liquor ****. crap.
I like beer around 5 or 6 %. Just checked and Newcastle is 4.7%. So that's about where I like it.If you don't like reality, change it! me
