China couldn't fight a global nuclear war, not by a long shot. I just read in the paper that the official U.S. estimate of China's nuclear capability has been revised from 400 warheads (dating from the Cold War era) down to 200, of which 130 are deployed on land based missiles or bombers, the rest believed to be in storage.
