Anti-smoking works because they aren't banning it completely, only from certain areas. If tobacco were banned, you'd see an underground market for tobacco. Sure, people wouldn't be smoking in bars and in front of office buildings, but they'd still be doing it. And we'd see an attendant increase in crimes related to it.

The information campaign has worked some also. In the 50s most everyone thought it is great. Now people are concerned about their health, and most recognise that it isn't great.

So? Most people don't succeed in quitting smoking the first time they try either, but we don't encourage them to stop trying do we? Besides, it should be pointed out that the first president in charge of enforcing prohibition was an inveterate alcoholic who in fact died from alcohol related disease before finishing his term. Surely he was the wrong person to trust with the job.

I personally havent done "Illegal" drugs for about 13 years or so.

Someone asked who the victim is and I am one, because my whole life has been turned upside down.

Also someone asked about seatbelt, this was a rear end collission and I have been told they normally dont go off, which I am not an expert on this but they did not deploy on either side.

My steering wheel i guess just was like a piece of chicken to me and no one takes chicken from me!

As for Apolycon06, this suxors near the the top of the list as I was hoping to meet you guys, but being out of work so long and now the Suregery and then recovery and hopefully all will be taken care of from their, had to cancel. Many people may not realize, but I really love Apolyton and really wanted to meet you guys and gals and well, thats only a part and parcel of the whole lot of troubles I am facing.

And good folks of Apolyton, I am not judging nor condeming, I just wanted to bring to light what happens when a person takes his or her playtime fun things like drugs and adds a motor vehicle in and has an accident. It then effects other peoples lives.

Thanks all for your warm thoughts and concerns and it shall all work out one way or another.

The other guy and his passenger were both arrested and were very apparently high, both refused medical treatment

I am blessed to be here and hopefully the surgery will rectify this very intense pain in my spine and the nerves that travel up and down my leg.

I believe a seatbelt and airbags are two different things .

This was in response to my seatbelt issue, yes I was but the seatbelt kept me in place at waist and I just held tight to steering wheel, bending it toward me with me holding it tight

Forgive me Wiglaf, I am missing what your speaking about.

I am a victim, (no I am not whining just stating it was I who got hit) but what about my self-control?

My job that is so dependant on me is I have charge of 40+ employees, I am in charge of Sales,Operations,Quality Control,collections and maintainence for parts of 6 counties. Since being out a fellow area Manager has had to fill in while also doing his duties.

Hope this helps and if you could please define what you meant about my self control, that would be nice.
