Seriously though, for my professional field the opportunities are limited here unless you're in tech or medicine. I'm hoping that I can say "Hey, I'm from Hawaii baby. Let's you and I talk." thing.

My cousin said he's about 10 min outside Indianapolis Downtown. But from what everyone's been telling me, people on the mainland use miles instead of minutes.

And no, I don't have money. That sucks. The fight scene I'm going to miss. Superbrawl and Rumble on the Rock. Good thing is that I'll be in the mainland and if anyone's in the Indianapolis area, I'm more than glad to meet up and have a few dozen brews with em.

(Oh yeah, Indy doesn't have as much skinheads and KKK's than Idaho does it? My Idaho friend said there's a whole crapload of compounds where she lives...and my sexy bronzed butt does not look caucasian... )

Actually, Indiana is probably the most racist state in the North. It has more Klansmen (though not skinheads) than any other state. Idaho has a bad rap cuz of the Aryan Brotherhood compund, but that got sued out of existence and turned into a park.

If yer going to Indy, look up Theben. He could use another fellow comrade to talk to. Indy isn't so bad (especially after living in Jacksonville). There's another poster who lives there as well.

this place is pretty racist in certain parts, the klan was pretty big with the city being home to a grand dragon in the 20's. also a town about 20 miles south of here is also very notorious.

10 minutes from downtown is nearly anywhere in the city-its a very easy place to maneuver due to the lack of natural borders (ie major rivers or lakes) and the highway that circles the city.

I've arrived in the state of Indiana. It's frigging cold up here. The mainland is pretty big but so far it's relatively ok. I'm looking up some mental health jobs right now.

I'm finding out that distance here isn't the same as it was back home. My lips are always chapped and peeling. Also, it appears I'm the only person around here with jet black hair, everyone else here has brown hair...a small observation on my part.

Anyway, I'm working on finding a J.O.B. Apparently, my work experience does not qualify me for diddily squat, so I have to look for entry-level jobs.

Don't have transportation yet, but I'm thinking of having my car shipped from HI to Indy so I can get my arse around.

(On a side note, how the heck do you guys keep healthy? The portion sizes here are ridiculous. $2.98 for a lb of steak? Jeez, where the heck are all the veggies and fruits?)
