At least it didn't toast their partitions like the early iTunes install did if you had multiple partitions. That wasn't beta.
Are the new MacBook Pros in beta too?

Malware can hit any system.
"When you are dealing with rootkits and some advanced spyware programs, the only solution is to rebuild from scratch.
