  • I would reiterate the fact that oil companies are masking their costs, as evidenced by the 400m retirement package and EVERYONE getting raises. Like I said, my dad got a 33% raise. And this is after getting a raise last year.

Doesn't mean it isn't technically illegal, it just means it isn't enforced .

Though a price war can be different than preditory pricing. Realistically, it is very thin line and depends on the mood of the prosecutor.

Dude, I got a 50% raise today. Doesn't mean we're going to start charging you for phone books.

I agree fully--- but drilling does take place in "international waters"

Dumb statement. If oil companies were "masking" 80% of their profits by paying their employees more then don't you think their stockholders would kick up a fuss?

Not at all, kid. I didn't know any were around yet.

But sure, the existence of a couple of platforms makes your point.

Just like the fact that the price of oil is 5% different across the Atlantic makes your point.

                        • If prices for something doubled in 4 years, don't you think consumers would kick up a fuss? No, they'd just bend over and take it

                          • Are you asserting that everyone at your Dad's company got a 33% raise? Or just a raise, period? After all, most companies give everybody a raise each year, it's just that they're typically smaller than 33% (they have to be).

Do you have a point, or is this just some frantic exercise in distracting people from how badly you've fared so far?
