$680 a month for rent (for a two bedroom) is just too much.... (considering what I make)

Gas price hype is a bit ridiculous. I know people that go out of their way to get gas for a cent a gallon cheaper and they have a 15 gallon tank. That's 15 cents you saved, at most! Likewise, everyone is freaking out that the price went up 20 cents in the last few weeks. If you have a 15 gallon tank, that's what, $3? $3 more a week? And that's a crisis?! WTF?

nothing else inflates the prices of things like the increase in gas prices

it is way worse than raising the minimum wage...

yet as long as it is a company getting richer (as the oil companies are with the gas prices) rather than the poor (as with the minimum wage increase), conservatives say it is a good thing..

$10 says most of the people out there haven't even thought about how increased gas prices have increased the cost of shipping. People are worried about gas prices rising because they think it is killing them in the pocket.

Hmm... I don't like cars advertised as fuel-efficient.

I drove a Toyota Prius once. It's an expensive, very complex, not terribly green, slow, cheaply made and pointless way of moving around.

Imran makes a good point. Paying $20 rather than $10 to fill up every week and a half or so isn't that big of a deal. Annoying, yes, but ****, a night of drinking costs me far more than that.

I can also drive 450 miles on one tank...

I get a lot better gas mileage on the interstate than in city though, in city my gas mileage tends towards 20 (I think ~23 or something)
