These guys don't give a **** about their team. They're selfish prima donnas. Here: listen to what the poster boy of WRs is saying these days: Mr. Terrell Owens (you have to let it load first)
      What?

Why the F should they? They don't get guarenteed contracts and if you get hurt or they don't think you are doing well enough, even with 4 years on your deal, they can cut you and say adios.

            Two. Redskins and Bears.

The Panthers, Colts, and Steelers each already had at least one amazing wide receiver, and they got beyond the first round as well.

So five of the eight teams present in the second round did have wide receivers generally regarded as excellent, and two of them had just acquired their receiver this year.

              Last year, or ever?

TO is a pain in the butt, but McNabb really flourished as a QB with Owens out there.. and if it wasn't for TO, the SuperBowl probably wouldn't have been all that close.

Listen, TO WILL blow up, but for this year, at least, Dallas will love to have his talent around and at his outbursts. He won't cause real problems until next year, when Parcells is gone (because Parcells will whip his ass).

And Jaguar has shown you how star WRs helped in last year playoffs. You can't look at Steve Smith's performance last year and say that without him the Panthers would have gone so far.

And now he has Keyshawn on the other side of him. That Panthers team scares me .

I don't care for celebrations a whole lot, but some of them are very funny, Johnson's Riverdance was awesome.

I think they should replay the celebration upstairs and if it's not unique or funny, then they flag 'em.

                    ACK!

Of course, they'd have to get Simon Cowell to work the replay booth.

did anyone besides me click that terrell owens link? WHAT THE &$&$(* WAS THAT?!

And as for the receiver vs. runningback vs. qb thing... the giants had the #2 runningback of the year, receivers out the ass and a receiving tight end, but still fell apart in the playoffs due to problems with the qb part of the equation.

                          MRT:

wide recievers for the most part cant carry a team by themself. runningbacks and qbs are where its at and even if you have a mediocre WR crew a good qb with a good rb will get you far. seahawks anyone?
Seattle isn't a good example of a team getting far with bad receivers. Darrel Jackson, Bobby Engram, and Joe Jurevicious is a good receiving team. A lot of teams would love to have someone like Jurevicious as a #2 option... but the man is a #3 for Seattle.

Engram was in the slot a lot of the time. Jurevicious did quite well with Engram injured, and probably had a better year. It's hard to say who's the #2 and who's the #3, because the Seahawks almost always roll with three WRs.

Generally, for a team to get through the playoffs, they need some sort of passing game. And somebody has to be catching the ball when they throw. So any playoff team will have a wideout or tight end with decent stats.

nevertheless, jaguar, that is a good receiving corps. The Seahawks were a top team offensively. The only reason why I think they were doubted as a superbowl contender was their lack of a powerful defense. the offense was great.
