Why don't you Europeans simply take all the Romance languages and merge them into one language, then provide for the official Romance language to gradually replace the other ones in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Belgium? The same could be done for the German and Slavic languages.
I'd point out of course that English doesn't clearly fall into one category and so would be exempt."I say shoot'em all and let God sort it out in the end!

Diversity is fun.
Most of us don't have problems with a different language.
It's the English who refuse anything French, the french refusing anything English and the Italians thinking all things Italian are holy.
And of course the Germans being..well...errr...German.
Ok, who haven't I insulted here?Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

Yeah I doubt we'll ever get rid of bush prior to his planned exit date. Mores the pity. Though we don't want whoever replaces him to be even more of a prat.
When will 'we' get rid of knobs like Chirac as well as Bush, and all allow nuclear vessels in 'our' ports, and all of 'us' play baseball and ice hockey?(\__/)

Those all speak several languages. Ok, the Dutch think they do.Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
