Cell Phone "Extras"

Paying $3.00 to download a 10 second song clip so your phone can play “Wooly Bully” when Aunt Melba calls? Doesn’t make a ****ing lick of sense. You’re… renting… a ringtone. WTF? Who the hell does this?

Speaking of phones… some company (Sprint? Cingular? All of them?) keep on touting the ability to download music videos, movie trailers, news video, and other digita … why? Why in God’s name would anybody be so desperate to see the new “Lost” trailer that they would download the thing and watch it using that 1-inch wide screen? Who all-of-a sudden decides – “Hey! I’m gonna watch me that new Fuggee’s video!"… then downloads the stupid thing on their cell phone so they can be entertained during a 14 minute bus ride?

Do they have to pay for these downloads?

WTF?!? WTFX3 if they pay.

That actually extends to everything that has to do with cell phones. I honestly and truly don't see the point of having a cell phone, for all but maybe ~1% of the population.

People may think they need one, but they're just fooling themselves. And paying out their collective butts for it.
