Adopting a cause seems much too much like hard work. After all, I already have my own crazy ideas that I've been developing for years.

I think what I need is a style. Like Pekka. Long and incomprehensible posts that somehow, sometimes, produce bits of insight.

an easy way to become an INTERESTING poster is write long rambling stream-of-conciousness sentences that don't go anywhere and violate typical rules of punctuation/grammar; speaking about yourself in the third person also helps... i.e. Sandman approves of this thread. using smilies by the bucketload also HELPS. although I've never been a smiley person myself

scour humourous magazines and joke books for witty anecdotes and insults which you can pass off as your own... win arguments by typing things in CAPS and endlessly using ...also remember to only quote sentence-sized fragments and ignore the paragraph as a whole...

pepper your posts with darkly humourous hints about the interestingness of your life... i.e 'I killed ten men during the Gulf War. And I wasn't even in Iraq.' or 'does anyone know where I can get some statue porn?' also bring up the nazis at every opportunity. try selective bolding, sometimes even within words. Coloring your text like a prepubescent girl will also help

changing your username to something more outrageous/pretentious/stupid would be a good idea, perhaps '0ne tr00 g0d', 'Y0ur m0m', 'GunPatriot' or 'Gerontophile'.

Do the above ten times a thread, and you'll be a hero/anti-hero in no time. But you probably shouldn't listen to me, I've been here one month longer and am only a smidge more interesting.

You can also get a nemesis if you want to be memorable. For the longest time, I kept mental who's-who files, thus:

Asher: Tiresome feud with Agathon
Agathon: Tiresome feud with Asher

Then I learned that Asher had a perverted love of Microsoft and Agathon....er, is Agathon. Anyway, try a nemesis. I'd volunteer myself, but I'm not a philosophy professor, I have work to do.
