Me I alomest did, 3 times, but always got out of it.

Once for drug selling (19), once for drug possesion (18), and 1 time for breaking and entering (19).

Cost me a bit but always managed to get out of it.

Never been arrested. Been stopped by cops twice (once for speeding, once for failure to attach front plates).

When I do dumb **** I'm generally pretty good at making sure there are no cops around first.

Laws I've broken, excluding vehicle violations, jaywalking etc:

public urination
public intoxication
sex in a public place
probably some sort of sodomy law
criminal trespass
petty larceny
destruction of property
possession of a controlled substance
purchase of a controlled substance
possession of alcohol by a minor
consumption of alcohol in a public place

There are also a couple of possible offences. Public disturbance, maybe assault (a couple of fistfights)

Most of them are real minor though, at least in this country, so they wouldn't literally give you a record.

I've just gotten traffic tickets before...

oh yeah, I did get a ticket for lighting off fireworks when I was 18, because they are illegal in Illinois

and when I was 22 I got a ticket for damage to something or other...

what happened was, this guy started like tailgating me and stuff, trying to race me... I have no idea why... he never explained (after the incident)... anyways, we were on a 2 lane road and he's doing all this **** to me... so I brake check him... like really bad LOL... then he's trying to speed ahead of me and cut me off, so I'm like, **** you buddy... so I turn down this one lane road, going back to the store (I was deliverying pizzas at the time)... and he's still tailgating me and stuff... I didn't do anything to provoke him... so I keep slamming on my brakes.

Eventually, he decides he is going to stop the nonsense and turn, so at the next intersection, I turn right... he starts to turn left... but then, I see in my rear view mirror, he decides to follow me. He speeds along side me, HITS ME... and both our vehicles are stuck. It wasn't bad damage at all... just like a scrape. But the angle he hit me, we both couldn't really move.

I was totally enraged, I grabbed a tire iron, got out of my car... by this time, he was starting to drive away... this was happening really fast... I was going to start bashing his car, but he was about to drive away and I had to run around my car... so I just threw the tire iron as hard as I could... it smashed into the side of his door HAHAHAH TAKE THAT YOU ****ING *******.

As he sped off, I dialed the police and reported the hit and run and everything. I caught up to the guy, got his license plate, then drove to the police station.

Apparantly, he thought I threw something at his car, like a cigarette or something, which started the whole thing.

Obviously, I don't smoke, so none of this was my fault.

I just got a $50 fine for throwing the tire iron at his car.

He had to pay for my car and I think his license got suspended for reckless driving, since we pretty much were going like 75-90 down city streets. They were empty btw... it was like 11 pm on a tuesday... the only real danger was hitting a deer because the streets in question were by a forest preserve.

I had a lawyer when we went to court, he didn't... but at the police station, he was trying to blame me for the entire situation. I admitted what I did, and initially thought I was going to get into more trouble, but the cops were cool about it because I knew the sergeant on duty (one of my dad's friends was a cop) and because he knew I was working and wouldn't start something like this.

Also, I guess the guy had a history of road rage incidents.

But neither me or the guy got arrested. We just got tickets and had to go to court.

Looking back, it's like, WTF was this guy thinking. And me, well, I am the wrong person to be in a situation like that because I don't back down from people like that. Which is bad. But with some nut like that, what else can you do? If I didn't react the way I did, he would have run me off the road or something. Oh well. Everything turned out okay.
