I reckon Operation Clambake is quite reliable in this regard.

I watched the team america movie and ended up thinking the south park dudes are closet right wingers
        they're more libertarian

but Chef may have been a bit peeved at other shows going after religion and didn't say anything until the show hit home. And in other shows, South Park doesn't really go after religions, just religious nuts. Well, aside from the boys asking the local priest embarassing questions. But look at how Jesus is treated in the show. He comes off as a righteous dude, albeit constantly lamenting our failings. But the show on Scientology ripped it apart, it was a direct hit on its foundational belief system.

I would bet that the CoS pushed Hayes towards making this decision - in interviews after the episode (4 months ago) he didn't seem to have much of a problem with it.

I didn't even realize they were still making new episodes though. Are they any good? I only watched like the first 2 seasons. I kind of grew bored after that. I still want to see the movie one of these days.

It's probably been the best it has ever been the last few seasons.

Imran speaks the truth. The episode at the center of this controversy, for instance, is solid gold. It's being replayed tomorrow night at 10PM Eastern. New episodes start a week from tomorrow.

They've signed on to do episodes to 2008, with the possibility of continuing from there.

I haven't watched South Park in forever. really not much T.V. except for Star Trek TNG. It's not as funny as South Park though.

I hope Hayes leaving isn't going to be the first sign that the show is tarting to go down the tubes. It seems like most awesome t.v. shows last right around 9 seasons and then get cancelled or keep going based on reputation and recycled content. Msot of the recent Simpsons episodes are proof of that.

xenu.net is hosting this episode for those that haven't seen it.

they called it a money grabbing scam, but I think the sharpest barbs are the retelling of the lord xenu story.

Looks like they re-scheduled both shows tonite and put on shows that focus more on Chef. Will that episode become the fan favorite they never show because of hurt feelings?
