Outta of all the drugs I've tried, though pot and lsd are the only ones i've taken too i've only ever felt my most out of control with alcohol. None of the others make you legless. Make you lose your memory. Made me do things I regret. Made me aggressive towards other people. Made me wake up wishing I was dead (hangover, though some comedowns aren't fun).

A lot of it depends on the person. I know a lot of people who drink who just shouldn't. Just like theres people out there who just shouldn't touch harder drugs. If you are responsible, know the risks and what you're getting into you can make better informed decisions. At the moment it's all pushed under the carpet and pretended like its not there. And they wonder why people **** themselves up. Clever.

The only dangerous thing about harder drugs is their more addictive nature. It's the addiction that makes people go crazy, not the effects of the drug itself (please note that this is not the case with all drugs because just like alcohol theres people that can have so much and be fine and then have a little bit more and be total *******s), but generally its the addiction.

Thats why they should be legal. Regulated and education. Thats the key.

As for the illegality issue, nobodies doing anything wrong by taking drugs. The govt is in the wrong over this issue.

Also I really don't think theres a relation between pot smoking and intelligence. In fact you'd have to back that up. Motivation though you have a point. Also, the risk is only there if you let it get the better of you. Remember what you say later in your post. You're in control.

I don't drink either (or smoke).
Ok you can freely enter the debate and not be classed a hypocrit. Though ignorance can still be thrown around

That's what I like to see, consistency. People who aren't consistent aren't gonna construct good arguments.

I've never felt completely out of control of myself on any substance. Well, excpet when they put me on Adderall in middle school. But that wasn't crunk or anything.

Even on mushrooms and a lot of pot I was still able to look totally normal and walk past a 5 Sherriffs without rasing an eyebrow. My heart was beating at ramming speed though.

Although I did sort of lose control a bit when I took Metabolife 356. That stuff was pure unfiltered energy for me during wrestling practice. popping 3 or four of those I could pin almost anyone on he team as a freshman.

Oh and bipolar is correct, of all drugs I tried, alcohol is the strongest in my experience.

Why would I want to disgrace an excellent, quality film like Brokeback Mountain with my lame attempt to emulate it?

Shame on you for such a blasphemous suggestion!

My WoW guild could not function without large amounts of alcohol and to a lesser extent weed.

                              well

when I want to know what my citizens are thinking

                              I smoke a bong

then it's like... I KNOW what they really want

so in Civ4, I actually know what my people are thinking!

but I don't think da chronic makes me a better player... although it makes my gaming experience a little bit more fun

when I play FPS, sometimes I'm better stoned, sometimes not

I think if I were in a competition, I wouldn't want to be stoned... you can't deny the physical things that weed does to you, despite how much better you may be able to concentrate.

When I play a game after I smoke, it's like I'm one with the game... like I'm meditating or something. Even though my brain activity is slowed down because of the physical reaction from the marijuana... slowed reaction time... I think that because I am focusing on that task to the exclusion of everything else... my overall performance does not suffer all that much. I'm totally immersed in the game.

Playing while drunk is just awful. You can't do anything.

Caffeine is okay, but you get too wired... too jittery. It's okay in the morning when I have my coffee. I need to wake up and stuff. But I would never take caffeine pills or anything or drink like a lot of Red Bulls... I've seen people do that stuff at LAN parties to stay awake for almost 2 or 3 days straight. It's pretty ridiculous.

An excellent idea. Others can benefit from your experience and avoid the temptation of the worm.
