      Don't forget capitalism

Depends on the sect. Most Muslims think evolution is compatable with Islam, a guided evolution if you will. However, they believe that man was created directly by God.

You have your priorities totally screwed if you think that compares with beer or football.

            QFT.

I do wonder who gets the props on the beer now that the original inventors have decided not to consume it.

Yep. And you have to wait in lines for days, the beer is badly made and soured, and the football sucks, because the teams are starving, and haven't been paid in six years.

                    ?

The masses were playing football in one form or another long before capitalism became a force.

I make no claim to the veracity of this quote I found (but having seen Millwall play, I can believe it):

Mob football, an ancestor of the modern game, stormed into England around the 12th Century and caught on to such an extent it was banned by Royal decree by many kings and queens. It was a violent game in which “murder and manslaughter” were allegedly the only barriers to transporting the ball to village ends.
