I bet with you: 30US$ that BMW-SAUBER will be on podium at least one time this season.

The cash will be paid via PayPal?

    Do you agree?

Perhaps I give Super Aguri too much credit?

          Agreed!

This will be very exciting and possibly very humiliating...

Look at that. Schumacher at the top and Raikonnen dropped to the bottom because of mechanical problems. Sounds familiar?

I just love this new qualification! And I expected Ferrari to be fast. But not this fast... Renault was a big disappointment OTOH I hope they´ll give it 110% tomorrow...

And Kimi?? What can you say? This is beyond bad luck, obviously he´s pushing the car beyond it´s limits. That´s not good driving, that´s just reckless and stupid. Kimi only has one speed it seems, and that´s full throttle. Which is all well and good if the stuff holds, but if it doesn´t...

The other teams placed rund about where I thought they would be. The Saubers were a bit faster than I expected and the Toro Rosso a bit slower with their V10 engine and all. But maybe they´re sandbagging it to avoid discussions of unfair advantage?

The Finn had not even completed a flying lap when a rear-wishbone snapped and broke the rear of his McLaren-Mercedes.
"Kimi's car suffered a rear suspension lower wishbone failure which was caused by a manufacturing fault, which, after many thousands of kilometres of testing, is difficult to come to terms with.”
When asked whether he was concerned about Raikkonen's suspension failure Montoya shrugged: "Your first thought is "oh my god" I'm driving the same car.

Not the engine this time, it seems...

                      EDIT: another pic:

Can't wait to see if Massa will be able to fight with Schumacher. With Michael's future undecided, the team may not be willing to be as biased towards him as they were when Barichello was there.
                        What?

My predictions from the other thread.

                          OK. Predictions?

                          Drivers
1- Button - He will get a reliable car and his team will be behind him all the way.

2 - Alonso - Renault won't support him as much as they should because of his move next year. Otherwise, he'd be 1st.

3 - Schumacher. He won't have a particularly good year but the McLaren's will be so inconsistent - cars AND drivers - that 3rd place will be his for the taking.

                          Constructors

1 - Honda. It all rests on whether Button can be consistent AND good. We already know that Barichello can't.

2 - Renault. The car is that good. And the team will want the title. Fisichella will have to have a good year though. (Can't be worse than the last, anyway)

3 - Ferrari. Massa will surprise some people i think - Michael in particular - if the team helps him.

                          There.
                          What?

It seems that this renegade thread is winning , so here is my predictions from the real thread :

Predictions ? Well my interest between seasons is a bit low - there may be room for a hair between that and total ignorance, but I doubt .

                            Well, some 2 cents :

                            Drivers :

                            1. Kimi - He must be very hungry and mercedes have had four months to stabilise the engine. There is no doubt that it was the best in 2005 but had the bad habit of exploding. If not, we might experience a Finn expressing feelings

                            2. Button - good driver, stable car though not the best.

                            3. Alonso - you are probably rigth, the team will make some "oups, sorry" to him - it's after all a french team.

Schumi is a joker. No doubt the man can drive and is still hungry, it all depends upon the car ferrari comes up with. He did after all make a decent result with that piece of crap he had in 2005.

                            Constructors:

                            1. Maclaren - that is if they stop blowing up the engines.

                            2. Honda - stable car stable, good drivers.

                            3. Ferrari - that is if Massa gets his act together.

This is totally without any warrant - I might change my mind after sunday
                            A couple of comments :

Either ferrari are driving on fumes or they have got a competitive engine - I hope the latter because it certainly will make things more interestingly.

Zoid : I think that some QA persons have learned some finnish words that they really didn't want to know existed - either some quality check fck'ed up or the engine is extremely powerful if Kimi is to blame for the crash.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

What puzzles me is that Montoya drives exactly the same car as Kimi and hasn´t had nearly as much "bad luck". And Montoya isn´t a particulary cautious driver...

Wow, I think we've had this season before. It's not like I would have watched the broadcasts anyway.
Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!
