Somewhere between 30,000 and 40,000, of which two thirds are undergrads. The city has a population of 100,000.

It feels about the right size though, since the campus is only about a kilometer square. And it makes for huge crowds at the games.

The Vrije Universiteit has around 16,000 students. The University of Amsterdam has about 25,000 making the number of students in Amsterdam over 40,000.

AFAIK, there are only 2 US universities in the 50k size range: Ohio State and Utah. Both public schools.

The US has a very high number of colleges and universities. In my home state -- Ohio -- there are something like 100 of them.

Hmmm... According to this top ten chart, I was wrong. Utah's nowhere to be found in the top ten and there are some others at ~ 50k. Wonder where I got that bad info...

All public. The enrollments drop off pretty fast, such that #10 is near 40k.

My undergrad alma mater has about 23k total students, and the university I'm attending for law school has 4,500 total, with 2,600 undergrads.

Hmhh, seems like every uni has the same amount of students, regardless the country and sex. Yes, unis have sexes. I present that theory later if anyone cares, because it's non-related and longish.

So we got 18k like I said, plus there's other schools right there in the same bunch like polytechnics etc so there's actually thousands more right there in the same area. This made me realize, since over half of students are women, that there are OVER 18 000 individual boobs right there, served warm and fresh for me... with a nice Chianti! *Flufluffluflufluflu*
