On Sunday we'll see if there's justice in this world or not. I mean if you think about it, we're still weaker on paper comparing to Sweden, not that it means anything and against Sweden, anything is possible and anything can happen with rivalries but... What did Sweden do in this tournament? They had a strong roster and .. but who did they play?

So you know, we won every single game, including ALL big 7 countries except Slovakia who we didn't get to play!

With 5 shutouts. We never lost a period.

So, if there's justice in the world, Lions will win this one.

I had Finland pegged for at least the final from the start. I had no great hopes for Sweden. But if we play the finns tomorrow like we played the czechs yesterday it´ll be a war!

There is no justice in this world, Pekka. So, I believe after crushing us 4:0 you will lose to Sweden whom we crushed 5:0. It's very unjust, that's why it's very realistic.

Serb, hmm you're right. I hope that this will be an exception to the rule.

But hey, you should hope Finland wins. This way you can always argue that team Russia lost the Semifinals because of bad reffing, and basically that team won gold so in fact your team should have won the gold. And I agree that reffign wasn't the most horrible in this game but it wasn't 100% good either, the first 2+2 for kovalchuk was crap call, just simple 2 would have been ok, kozlov's 2 minuet call at the end of the first was totally invented out of nowhere plus Finns got away with few. This is only true. I figure it doesn't change the result too much but it could have made a different game and you never know.

The ref was a moron, but not a complete ****** as we usually got. The outcome is not the ref's fault for sure. I don't know what the hell happened with our team. They just didn't play as they did earlier in the tournament. Sure they were exhausted after the game vs. Canada, lost two key players in two fives (Malkin and Korolyuk) and therefore had to shuffle all fives, but it's four ****ing nil - a complete disaster! No speed, to creativity, no teamplay, no anything.
I still can't believe that. It's a mourning today in Russia. Everybody here upset as hell.

I think that it comes down to the Canada game, it took much out of the team, tough game.

But if you look at the positive sides, there's still bonze to be won and the team played well under Bure... Bure as GM is making the national a lot better, and the guys play for the country 100% so.. it will bring more success in the near future.

This is it though. It's like the battle between invading aliens and the world, and even if that were to happen, the last thing I'd be watching is this final game, and cheering all the way for our victory happy, while aliens are intruding everyone internally.

So even if the game tomorrow will be the sports event of the millenium in both nations, a Swedish loss will result in a 6-1 lead over Finland in gold medals this olympics.

Serb, watching it as well, cheering for Russia. I think they deserve to win this. They have been more consistent, are strong on paper plus play as a team too.

CO, So? Who cares about the old medals? This is now, and this time it's the best players in the game, earlier excluding what.. two last times? There weren't best players. That, plus the fact that we have never battled in Olympic finals... so in Olympics, we're still 0 out of 0.
