Besides the complete out of the world comment ("I don't think we should have a military") I found the comment on school funding especially odd, as when I was in High School in SF fall of 98- spring 00 the city was wrapping up spending $300 million on renovating the city hall. At the time the city was spending very little of it's own money on the city's education system, almost all of it was coming from State and Federal sources. I'm gonna look up the numbers tho...Visit First Cultural Industries

I had thought I'd heard somewhere that was the reason...so basically even tho SF is a fairly prosperous city, and we *know* they can bring in some moolah with Property Taxes, the San Franciscians decided they'd rather not have a halfway decent school system? classy.Originally posted by
