  • The Next Great Thing In Music

I ain't much of a music buff, but...

I was going to Red Hot Chili Peppers before they hit it big

same for Dave Mathews Band, Hootie, Pearl Jam, Train, and a few others

I was listening to Jack Johnson with G. Love and was told they were lame

    I don't know

I think I have an ear for talent.

My next pick played on American Idol a week or so ago, with a song called Bad Day... I like him, and I think his next album will be good, his debut album...

    what's your pick?

Daniel Powter is a one album Canadian w@nk. You won't hear from him again in a few months.

Evidently he's great, since these guys couldn't pick night from day.

well, that's hardly new. I mean emo was and is whiney. indy is whiney ( and it had to be so that all the hipsters would migrate easily between the music-fashions).

As to this guy - yes, I think he's going to be big - but then again, why take the clone, him or James Blunt, when you can take that other guy who was the original. The one with the videoclip of him playing a guitar. You know who I am talking about.

I am not a fan of this kind of music, though it's ok in doses on the radio.

                      I kind of like it

ask me if I like it in 2 months?

Still, John Maher clones are the love of the industry. If I could buy stock in musicians I'd being buying this guys IPO.

And as for James Blunt, well he is just rhyming slang in my eyes

There seems to be a deluge of utterly bland acts. We've had Keane, James Blunt, Daniel Powter, and then there is Maroon 5...as well as being bland, they are so nailscratchingly irritating to boot!
