Yet another Danish freedom thread: why not sue officials and blackmailers?
BlackCat, I propose a deal. I learn basic Danish, you learn basic Russian and basic Hebrew... and we cuss KrazyHorse in 4 languages simultaneously untill he bans us.
Please keep on topic!!!
Nah, they'll just end in the water like that sikorsky and we get the trouble rescuing the pilots.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Q: what status do the danish paper have that published the 12 pics of muhammed ?
A: All medias in denmark are independent.
JP is like all other medias in denmark a private and independent newssource. I has no connection to the danish government in any way.
The danish government can, based on freedom of public speech, not without breaking the law, descide what danish medias may publish.
Q: Will the danish government excuse for the 12c drawings of muhammed ?
A:
Jan 30 the danish pm AFR stated on TV that he respected other peoples beliefs and that he personally wouldn't have depicted muhammed in a way that could have offeded other people.
He was satisfied with the excuse from JP (an excuse that say they are sorry if someone has been offended - not that the pics was printed). It's a step to a constructive solution.
The danish government has no means to apoplgise for desicions made by the redacteur of an independent newpaper, but the PM has at a number of occasions commented and "excused" (this is the wrong word, because the word beklaget is much more weak than excused, but my dicts can't give a better) that people may have been disturbed.

"excuse" = "apologise?"

So where's the part that tells me that the government can't apologise?

Where's the part that tells me they can't apologise without exercising restraint.
How do you suggest that they apologise for something trhat they can't take responsibility for ?

Do you understand the difference between the Danish government apologising and it applying some sort of restrictions on what newspapers can publish?
Yep, there is no difference.

I didn't know you were ignorant, but you clearly has proven it in this thread.
Are you really that stupid that you think gov's can make excuses ad libitum without taking responsibility for what they are excusing ?
I might actually put you on an ignorelist too - not because of stupid comments, but because you clearly need to educate yourself a little before entering debates.
Edit: Dang - the ignore button is removed - seems I have to live with your postings
