Chestplate was crushed by Mace Windu during the invasion of Coruscant.
Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

              Yeah, you say that, but...

He's a cyborg. I just don't get why he wouldn't get that fixed?

Maybe it would have been a time-intensive process? It would have occcured minutes before the Start of ROTS, so they may have done a messy patch up.

(Not having seen Clone Wars, and only knowing Grevious from the movie, it doesn't make all too much sense. One day, I'll finally get to watching the animated series, but for now, my confusion over this matter will remain.)

Well, I didn't see the second half of the Clone Wars until this past December...but even before that I didn't have any trouble with a coughing cyborg who, obviously, was very badly burned at one point.

Perhaps they only had the technology to make artificial limbs, but not organs?

I am back but not for long. I absolutley hate traveling. First Provost Harisson my spelling is atrocius and I try as hard as I can to spell words corectly. If you find any spelling erors in my (rushed) posts you are welcome to "educate me" and send me the corrections. Not every one is born in the UK,US or AUS and I've seen posts by some ( teenage ) native speakers that made me laugh so don't lecture me. This is not a spambot thread, I had a chat with and realised the error of my way's. If I was home I'de be online enough to explain that.
Answers to some of the questions raised:
-Shmi could be a virgin or not I dosen't matter the fact remains that Anakin dosen't have a biological father, if he was a Jedi the council would know it , since I am quite sure they have at least a few blod samples of all the Jedi ( the midiclorian test seems to be standard in that period ) and would shurley have sanctioned the Jedi who "disregarded the Code in that way" or would have made an exception, do not forget that a certain member of the Jedi council was married because of the low birth rate of his species ( an exception was made shurley another would have been made for something as unusual as "creating" the chose one ).

Lord avalon you are probably correct about the technology of the SW galaxy in that time period; wouldn't a Jedi prefer a living hand ( even a cloned one ) that can feel the force ( Vader would have become much more powerfull if he had not lost his limbs - and with them many midiclorians ) to a lifeless ( if stronger ) artificial hand. If it was avaiable as we obviously see these limbs were not avaiable to neither the republic, the seperatists or the (later) Empire and offcourse the reble aliance for that matter.

Qui-gon DID carry money just it was REPUBLIC currency- how much time does a Jedi spend outside of a republic that nearly encompases an entire galaxy. And off course a jedi dosen't care for material possesions ( or shouldn't).
