This thread is here for any continuity questions a big time fan might have a serious phylosophical talk about the deper nuanses of the story or to just see wich action sequences are the people's favorite.

So if you don't even know what Star Wars is... you are still welcome.

No troling, spamin or ranting here please.
So what is your excuse for the shocking spelling? Any relation to CharlesBHoff perhaps? Or perhaps you are one and the same?

It was a sign of their decay, kind of like the Roman Empire. They just wanted to see blood. It didn't matter if the Chancellor or Naboo did the bleeding.

Is it true that this is the best dialog in any film ever made:

Anakin / Obi Wan surfing on the lava in E3:
Obi Wan: "The Sith are evil"
Anakin: "in my opinion the jedi are evil"

                Man, that was REALLY funny!
Imagine you're fighting for life or death while surfing on pure hot lava, and then you say stuff like "In my opinion....." buwhahahahah

I liked E3 btw, so it's not as if I hate starwars

Did Luke really want to do Han would be a bit more of a drunken question.

Given that Starwars is George Lucas' brain child and deep down I'm betting he's a bit of a perv, I'd say Luke probably would want to do his sister.

Han is interesting. I'm willing to bet he'd go for 3-way. He's that kind of guy.

                      Best scene:

Seeng the star cruiser (or whatever it's called) fly by at close range. That was awesome....

They want to see Naboo bleed? I thought they dismissed the old chancellor for letting things get to this point.

Delegating power to a trading company over the natives is one thing. Naboo is a member planet of the republic, with representation in the Senate. This would be like giving the East India Company the right to send its soldiers to Yorkshire.

yeah, but in the NT, at least somebody tells Mary whats going on (IIUC). Here shmi just gets pregnant. Doesnt it strike her as odd?

Remember in ROTS...Palpatine tells Anakin that Darth Plageious could create life using the Force. The theory that Ol' Anakin was created that way has been kicked around on the Warsie sites.

im not asking how it happened. Im asking how shmi reacted to it. I mean usually a virgin who concieves is gonna be kinda thrown for a loop, youd think. NT 9or God, depending on your POV) deals with this, IIUC, by having various angels talk to Mary about whats about to happen. Shmi doesnt get any of that. She just concieves one fine day. And then goes about her life as if this is nothing out of the ordinary, until qui gong talks to her about it, as far as we can tell from TPM

The virgin birth of Anakin Skywalker was the single worst idea that Lucas came out with. I think that even he realized it, which is why you never hear it mentioned after TPM.
