Boehner wasn't the hand-picked successor of Delay by a long shot. He can be accused of a lot of things, but he wasn't exactly the kind of DeLay crony that Roy Blunt was. At least the activists can be happy that this probably means the end of Roy Blunt as the whip. If he can't count votes for himself, then how can he be trusted to count votes from now on?
