They lied on the rating and content. If they were up front about it then there wouldn't be any penalties and fines.

(I'm far from prudish, I'd just like to know what I, or my kids, are getting. )

Such moves normally have to be approved by share holders. Share holders who are loath to see their shares of the company diluted.

I know in the US it is very popular for companies to buy back stocks in order to boost the per share price of the stock. Of course those companies rarely retire the stock and instead use it to make equity financed deals at some later date so they rarely remove the stock from circulation over the long run. Another favorite CEO trick is to announce stock buy backs which will occur over a period of time (say 5 years) do the first stock buy back, see the jump in sale price (which often means the CEO just meets his performance goals to qualify for incentive pay) but then the other 4 some how don't get done. The CEO got his money so he doesn't follow through with the rest of the buy back plan.

Heavily pixelated nudity is indeed a bad thing.

                        High resolution, I say!

I predict a disaster for CIV fans since Take-two is a poorly run company. It's a pity SEGA didnt acquire Firaxis to complement their acquisition of Total war.
