For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio
that stuff doesn't bother me too much. Because stupid people = job security for me. I get paid to fix things. And sometimes the solution is as simple as plugging something in.

I had a lot of stupid students when I was a teacher. I thought I was giving free points away on a test once when I asked who won the Civil War. Unfortunately, only one or two students gave the answer of either the North or the South. Many of them gave France for the answer or something as stupid as that. It's hard to tolerate stupidity sometimes, but the more you practice the better you get.

Which civil war? If you asked me who won the civil war I would have said the Roundheads. Guess I am a dumbkopf.
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.
How important is it to know when the second war war was? I know all about it, but I'm a history buff, and a warfare buff. But I don't expect other people (especially americans) to know anything about it.
In itself, in daily life, not all that massively important. I think it's indicative of the state of someone's general knowledge, a measure of how much they know and their ability to make judgements based upon that information. I would hardly consider knowledge of, for example, the second world war to be useless information.
