I don't mind dealing with people who are numb, although that's often because I don't really do anything differently than I would if they weren't numb and let them keep up as they can. I do get frustrated sometimes, but, oh well.

What I find far more annoying is how much of the world is set up for people that are stupid. Things like entertainment, advertising, education, etc....that bothers me and vaguely insults me, since as a member of this culture I'm supposedly one of the people that this stuff targets.

It's one thing to Think DifferentTM, it's another for them to be totally out to lunch.

Like communists talking economic theory, for instance.

                This is deliciously ironic.

Ok, I exaggerate but here's a list of what some of the customers have done:

leave their cart behind in the middle of the lane when they walk out of the store

spend about five minutes figuring out the self-explanatory card reader for their debit/credit card

slap their kid or yell at their kid as if that will not escalate the situation

leave items that they decided against buying by the checklane items, endcap items, or on top of one of the fridges -- where they don't belong -- instead, it makes sense to give them to me directly

                        Thank god most customers don't do these stupid things, but still . . . . . . .

Stupidity is not the same as ignorance.

I get frustrated when people can't understand simple concepts (I am not talking about the curvature of space here) dispite being me explaining them multiple times. I make a partial exception for those who are 70 years and over. Otherwise I try to igore them.

I'm afraid no cure has been found yet, but I heard they're working on it.

I'm not sure there, sometimes numb people have alot of trouble keeping up.
