    I have some invites for the MSN Messenger 8 / Windows Live Messenger 8 beta

    Examples of new features: New user interface, offline messaging (like ICQ), 640x480 webcam conversations, can have conversations with people while in "appear offline" mode

    Doesn't work on Windows 98, I take it?

        You just use it, there's no commitments.

        You do gain access to a bug reporting form though to make suggestions or report bugs.

              No, it's an application just like MSN Messenger. It's the next version of MSN Messenger.

                        The software is available, but unless your MSN account has been "authorized", it doesn't let you log in.

                        And it doesn't have to be a hotmail account, any passport account works.
