  • Americans are known for their geniality and hospitality...

Germans for enjoying their beer. Russians for their brutality. Italians for their impeccable style. The Swedes for their austerity. The brits for their aristocratic kitchens. ( )

Behold, the Prejudice Map (too large for this thread).

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

That map is anti-Finland -- they completely ignore it.

The Finns are known for their pathological seriousness.

If you're trying to implicate a connection with me, that won't work as I'm of German descent.

            Some prejudices are true...

My grandfather would get in his car to travel a couple hundred feet. Pretty amazing.

He probably didn't even have a car for the first decade or two of his life, but apparently he enjoyed the inevitable march of progress.

At least Finland is named and appears on the map. Poor Kiwis.

The Kiwis are known for being the strong, silent types.

Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.
