BTW, there's a reason why "history" teaches that democracies don't go to war against each other: there simply isn't much history in the way of democracies. Give the sample the time to increase.
Then, there is the fact that most democracies post WW2 also happened to be nuclear powers.

Following this logic, we might as well claim that "Communist countries don't go to war against each other and thus are peaceful". Which is quite true, if you're willing to conveniently single out the internal repression, just like you're singling out the genocide of the native Americans.

However, interference in others' internal politics is not limited to the American administration. I seem to recall senior Liberals professing a preference for certain Democrats to prevail in elections of a neighbouring, sovereign state.
