"Mal nommer les choses, c'est accroître le malheur du monde" - Camus (thanks Davout)
"I thought you must be dead ..." he said simply. "So did I for a while," said Ford, "and then I decided I was a lemon for a couple of weeks. A kept myself amused all that time jumping in and out of a gin and tonic."

if those two weren't complete receptions, the texas one definately wasn't."Mal nommer les choses, c'est accroître le malheur du monde" - Camus (thanks Davout)

The Texas one had the guy with possession of the ball before being knocked out. Those two did not have possession of the ball (ball being bobbled before knocked away)“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

lol....the one that just happened in the endzone...he had the ball, hit the ground, and then the defender knocked the ball out. What game are you watching?"Mal nommer les choses, c'est accroître le malheur du monde" - Camus (thanks Davout)

Watching it again... that Randle-El pass should have been a TD. On replay it would have been ruled that way (as like the Shockey TD against Seattle earlier this year). Cowher decided it wasn't worth it (getting it on the 5 yard line is just as good with their running game).“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

lol...imram. There is no way he would have taken it on the five if he thought it would have been overturned. seriously, how long have you been watching football?!?!"Mal nommer les choses, c'est accroître le malheur du monde" - Camus (thanks Davout)

On the replay, it was obviously a catch. Hell, read the description you gave to it. You would have ruled it incomplete? Your favorite team has a player that "had the ball, hit the ground, and then the defender knocked the ball out" and you wouldn't have thought the ref botched the call?“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

the announcers said they didn't think it was a catch. He would have challenged if he thought it would have been a td. Too many things can happen. i just don't even know what to say to you, you just aren't familiar enough with football."Mal nommer les choses, c'est accroître le malheur du monde" - Camus (thanks Davout)

It's funny how you give so much credence to the announcers in this game, but in the Rose Bowl, the announcers who said they thought it was a catch and fumble... naw, they were biased
Unfortunetly you watched the game with Texas colored glasses.
I'm sorry, but you said the play was he "had the ball, hit the ground, and then the defender knocked the ball out". The defender knocked the ball out AFTER he hit the ground with the ball!! And you think that's worthy of an incompletion?! WTF?! You don't watch football do you?“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

*yawn* i'll say it again. I'm not even a texas fan."Mal nommer les choses, c'est accroître le malheur du monde" - Camus (thanks Davout)

Let's go through this again... a player has possession of the ball, falls on his back, and then gets the ball knocked out by the defender (while on his back), and you call that an incomplete pass?“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

as the announcer said, he had to maintain possession all the way through the play. And don't say "well now you want to listen to announcers?" These announcers aren't morons like the other ones"Mal nommer les choses, c'est accroître le malheur du monde" - Camus (thanks Davout)

Because they agree with your point of view. Congrats though, you are the first person to not call Phil Simms are utter idiot.
And yes, he did maintain possession all the way through the play. The defender knocked the ball out when the recievers BACK WAS ON THE GROUND! That's possession all the way to the ground. If he has possession when he catches it and has possession when his back is on the ground, and then after that gets the ball knocked out... where was the not maintaining possession all the way to the ground? Hell, when the Bengal play jumped on top of Randle-El, the play should have been whistled dead.
Unfortunetly the ref was the on the other side and didn't get a clear enough view.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
