I really am not a Pinko, but its easy in the Bush warp field dissipator to view me as one i suspect

And you need to help fix the UN - thats all. And by Fix i dont mean bully it so it works for your many corporations interests. The way i look at it the UN and the USA are one of the same. 'Organisations' born out of despair over how the countries from Old Europe fail to get along.

Thats the whole point of America though isn't it? to look at Europes failings(mainly that of warring and killing one another all around the world throughout history) and show the way we can all come together and work towards a brighter future.
We've failed at it quite spectacularily on a number of well known occasions(and countless lesser known ones).

So stop screwing around and get on with the good work

(hint: the way its been going over the last 30-40 years isnt the way to do this 'good work' )

Help fix the UN when Europe is part of the reason it is in the state that it's in? Europe has been nothing but a problem. I don't see any despair over the short comings in Europe, because frankly we really don't care about Europe. Europe can die of its own enlightened ideals as Islam takes over Europe. Then again, we'll probably have to go in and clean house like other certain occassions. Disband the UN and focus our attention on other countries is what I say.

Thats the whole point of America though isn't it? to look at Europes failings(mainly that of warring and killing one another all around the world throughout history) and show the way we can all come together and work towards a brighter future.
Actually the point of America was to escape Europe and give it the middle finger in the most American way possible. Save your bleeding heart cause for someone who cares because the majority of America doesn't care what Europe does one way or another. You're the ones putting your noses in our business.

(hint: the way its been going over the last 30-40 years isnt the way to do this 'good work' )
Yet more European enlightened wisdom I see. We should really take a page out of the European book and run our economies like yours, build our military like yours, and follow the ever successful multiculturalism that plagues Europe. You are truely a model for success.

but then again i dont believe yours is the typical mind set of 'most americans' you seem to want to represent.

There may be more than one of you but in the end i think people in america are like many that live all over the world. Basicaly good decent and not full of hatred for any race/culture that doesnt fit with their personal view. So despite you, i'm sure America will do the right thing in the long run

And thanks for showing us all the kind of attitude to life that causes all the worlds problems

Yikes... scary posts from the newbie. The saving grace is that most Americans don't think that way, so that when we are eventually eclipsed by another country we won't be made to have our noses shoved in it... though the few arrogant *******s may have doomed that for us already .

Why, because I don't fall in line with your flowery rose colored world? Sorry if I don't find Europe this enlightened and obviously superior land compared to the US. Yes, I am part of the majority, even moderates don't have much tolerance for Europe's antics and their incessant need to meddle in America's political decisions. As I said, fix your own damn country first because we seem to be doing quite well for ourselves.

I happen to be an admirer of Japan and their culture. Who's the ignorant one? I find we have more in common with Japan, who was once our greatest enemy, than we do with most of Europe who is supposedly our great ally.

Says the guy that ran around with an Arafat avatar praising him as the greatest man ever. I'm sure America is just in love with that man...you know, because you're so main stream. The only way we'll be eclipsed by another country is if liberals like you continue to tie the hands of America in your great quest to weaken us and bring down the "evil empire."

Phew! well thats a relief, and i'm glad you actualy have found another country outside of your own that you can investigate more without feeling your betraying your own Keep at it and soon, you may well find a few more worth giving a damn about. But best not tell your friends right away - they may think your becoming a goddarn liberal communist arab.......or something

Edit: as an aside on the subject - have you looked into Japanese religions? During my extended 'martial arts' phase i found i really liked much of the Shinto system. It seemed a very respectfull way to view the world around us?

God damnit man, who the hell do you think you are? You act like you are some saint sent here by god to save America. I have always found other countries to identify with, they just don't happen to be European. I haven't really studied the religions too much except for some of the main forms of Buddhism, but I'm an atheist and I don't care about religion. My goal is to someday move to Japan for a time and study Ninjutsu. Right now I'm focusing on getting my business started so I can make alot of money and go do whatever I want after that. I find it amusing how Europe thinks they know so much about the US yet they really don't know ****. Europe can sink into the sea for all I care. The future is Asia and some of the former Soviet countries. Europe is free to ruin itself however it likes, stop trying to take us with you.

Um... you have recession after recession and you claim our economies are doing badly? You leave millions of children without healthcare, you only provide decent schooling - and any higher education - for the rich, you create more air pollution than any other nation and you invade countries without the backing of any international organisation, and you claim you're doing quite well?

If you'll stay out of the politics of the rest of the world, I'm sure we'd quite happily stay out of yours. However when you start causing pollution that affects other countries, start invading other countries or defying WTO rulings, then you start to become the target for criticism. Stay out of world affairs and the world will stay out of yours.

And what antics are you refering to?

Unfortunately America does have a long history of isolationism. The ideas do have some resonance albeit not as strongly as Eyes of Night would have it through 'Merican culture.

But i'll stop pestering you with my liberal view on life. The Martial Arts taught me much about myself and the world around me - i had some good teachers.

Good luck with the Ninjitsu stuff - everyone thinks ninjas are cool(and they are right), just try to find decent teachers.

Big meatheads wrapped in black don't a good minja make you may find it usefull to try one of the kung-fu's before the ninjitsu if you want to be really serious about it? (good energy control techniques etc)
