The whole TV thing was to give you an idea that the night started uncomfortably like that. It's not what LITERALLY happened, I didn't strangle to my shirt nor did I twist my arm.

Now I have to go to sleep, someone has 'broken internet' and I have to check it first thing in the morning. Damn... will I get paid? No. I'll get one of those 'ohh you so saved me again'. What can I say.. when the time comes, they have to kill for me.

Get your money up front. If they won't pay you when they need you, they certainly won't pay you afterwards. And the whole point is to get paid.

Right. I'm just about to go there. This isn't regular either, I had to wake up for this in the middle of my vacation, I have to drive there and I won't be even settled with the gas money, so actually I'm making the opposite or profit here.

YOu know this dude never gets his things up. He calls me at least 2 or 3 times every week. The same problems circulate his life, and I have to give solutions. Yesterday he called and said the emergency is now (12PM). I said no way I'm coming now. He sounded disappointed.. wtf? I said I'd come in the morning. He said he had done everything and called everyone, I asked if he called the ISP for his connection problems. Apparently that was not something he did. Cool

So, now I go there, do everything for free again, an hour, hour and a half worth of work that is never remembered after today, adding up to those numerous hours before, so he can go to work in time today. lol.. I mean ****, if you're in a bind, I'll help you for free of course. But if you get yourself ina bind all the time, and I have to help you so you won't lose money, hey, how about giving me the ****in gas money at least!

Freaking idiot people, they don't consider these things to be work at all.. with friends like these, who needs to get paid.. err... ok Maybe I'll get a warm coffee. Or maybe next time he will actually buy me that beer. That's 3 euros, that's not bad for being persoal help desk and driving there every time to solve it.

Now I have to go, I'm a bit late but I don't actually care.

Well, I feel good now. Worked out the problem(s), and in fact they weren't too trivial first so I can't blame him really. He did offer me coffee, and also offered me little money. Yay!

That was the only thing I wanted, to have the offer. OF course I refused, it was enough to feel appreciated enough to be offered money, I don't really want to take money from my friends. I expect favours back. So... anyway he secretly put the money in my jacket so I just found it. Maybe he read this thread, huh? Now I can wash all the previous non-appreciative gigs.
