I hate shopping. All gift cards do is create twice as much shopping for me. I want people to buy me things I'm too lazy to go out and get myself.

I am not sure if this is widespread practice but the mall near my parents' home have this program in which you can buy a gift card from them which can be used at any store at that mall. Ideal gift purchase for those who hates to shop.

We have this at our both our local major malls.
