  • Its almost 2.30am and Santa's work is done

    They'll be up at 5.30am

Why is it always like this? Filling stockings and wrapping till 2am....don't have kids!

Left out my glass and an open bottle of port, a half eaten chocolate bar and an empty bag of oats to show Santa was here!!! Yay!!!

That Santa must get tanked - he had about 5 glasses at our place, the slush

I made shoe prints but the Santa snow I bought was foaming so that didn't work...bubbles all gone now. I even made a Santa foot stencil with steps leading from the front door to the stairs. Cunning aren't I? The older two kids think its crap but actually they're still at an age where you can sow doubt about that "mature" conclusion...

I rushed down to the electronic market at 8.30pm to get a Nintendo DS (a kind of gameboy), which one of the kids said he dearly wanted, like just when its almost too late.... They were pulling down the shutters, the place was deserted, but I found one open shop which had it. Every Dad must have a Christmas story like that - the one shop that has exactly what you want. Doesn't happen every year...

BUT! Boy it was expensive! Does it come it come with like, any games? No. How about a discount? No speak Englishee! When the guy explained, using a calculator the games cost 55,000 won instead of 5,500 as I thought I felt like saying, here, take all my cash....

I left that shop with cabfare and some loose change.....but I found enough for a cold burger and soggy fries. Santa's Christmas Eve dinner.

But hey! Earlier in the day I got the whole family the last tickets for the Nutcracker on Christmas day! Yay!

I gave myself Italian leather shoes and marked them from my doting old grandma, now 95 and in a home, so I will think of her on the day and whenever I wear them ......

Don't forget! Santa works for the baby Jesus. And it is better to give than to receive. I have a lot to be thankful for on Christmas day, family around me.

    Merry Christmas everyone

if you get more than one, some games you can play multiplayer with only 1 cartridge, and they connect wirelessly as well...

is the won something like 1755.99 to the pound? the top price games are £30 in the shops which works out about right it sucks

Mid afternoon here-- I started my Christmas shopping two hours ago and just got home. I don't know WHY people shop early, I went to the downtown malls and they were almost deserted, just like every other Christmas eve since I moved here. Parking was easy, no lines and just enough people around that it doesn't feel like a ghost town

3:30am here and Santa just got done. Double-duty tonight, as Sophie picked a good one to have a 2:00am nightmare. Fortunately ( ) I was still awake so I could bound into her room and comfort her before she got too disturbed...

Sophie got a karaoke machine, a puppet theater, and enough Barbie crap to entertain the entire first grade in a few years. And a scooter.

Dad got a new 27 inch TV, an 80's arcade machine replica, some books.

Mom got a new washer/dryer (The old W/D is 11 years old and we've started calling the washer "Thumper"), another year of the Wall Street Journal, a couple-hundred in various gift certificates, and etc. She raked it in, to be honest. But she's worth it.
