Enough hockey statistics and other rationalizations, Asher. Let's talk football for a minute. Which team is this year's Grey Cup Champion? Would you please let all our foreign friends know? Thanks.

I do not see the point in watching NFL rejects play football, especially when there's only a handful of teams. Incredibly, mind-numbingly boring.
Congratulations on that massive accomplishment, though. It really does say something about the city of Edmonton that a team of 99% Americans that couldn't make it into the American football leagues were better than the other teams of 99% Americans that couldn't make it into the American football leagues. Edmonton's quarterback (insert no-name here) is one of the best players of all time, what exciting football!

If you keep focusing on trivial "championships" like the Grey Cup, maybe it'll take your mind off the fact that Calgary tops Edmonton in every possible category except # of Stanely Cups in the 1980s and, apparently, not the winners of the infamous Canadian Football League this year.
You guys are a riot.

By the way, did you see the interview with King Ralph on Sportsnet during the hockey game?
Even while watching it in Edmonton, he proudly admitted to being a Flames fan.

Its one game in many-- nothing for anyone to get too excited about
For instance, I am a Habs fan from way back and I don't get overly excited if they would hmmmm errrrrr beat Ottawa . .. its the regular season folks-- the time when some really good team can drop a a game to St. Louis and then beat Ottawa and Calagary and Vancouver. One game means little, its the trends of who is playing well that matter

Warren Moon! Warren Moon is still around?!?! Wow. Ironic, too, given that he used to be the QB for the Houston Oilers, right?

p.s. Making it to the 7th game doesn't make a champion. WINNING the 7th game makes a champion. See: 2001 NY Yankees/Arizona Diamondbacks. Who was the champ? The Yankees had the lead in the 9th inning of game 7. But THEY LOST.
Edmonton is the city of blue-collar oil workers and washed up American football players and a hockey team that is doing better than they should with perhaps the worst management team in hockey this season.
Calgary is the city of white-collar oil workers and one of the most popular teams in the new NHL (Flames jerseys outsold all the others last season by quite a margin).
Just curious, what is Edmonton's equivalent of the Red Mile when the grey cup was won? And how come nobody cared?
Why is there no EskimosGirls.com or OilersGirls.com?

Everyone knows Calgary is superior to Edmonton. Edmonton is the dysfunctional cousin that lives far enough away not to care, and a good place to dump all of the politicians.
One of Edmonton's claims to fame is an overly-sized mall and hockey achievements 20 years ago. That's how spectacular that city is.

Lower crime, higher incomes, better weather, faster growth, and a better hockey team.
