Another "Journalist" Caught Taking Bribes

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I'll admit I was just popping off in my first post, but I do think it's an interesting question, and I'm not just Lib-baiting: does libertarianism, as an ideology, actually allow for something like a professional ethos? If so, how?

First, journalists are part of the political and economic world. Therefore, an ideology that gives us an idea of "how the political and economic world should work" must, by implication, give us an idea of how journalism should work.
Second, "journalistic ethics" don't transcend time and space.
And that's my point: Journalistic Ethics = Liberalism.
